I grew up in a little rural town called Colac with my family (mum, dad and 2 sisters). After year 12 I moved to Darwin to study nursing and had a wonderful time!! I returned to Shepparton in Victoria when I was 23 and worked for a few years at the Goulburn Valley Base hospital. In 1998 I got engaged to Chris who lived in my old home town of Colac. He was working as a dairy farmer at the time (and is a cheese maker by trade). I have known Chris for many years and we now have two young children (Will and Laura) who are both school age. While we travel I will be doing most of the home schooling. Before travelling I was working part time in a private medical clinic and casual shifts at our local hospital. I really love my job and will miss nursing. We plan to take about 2 years to go right around Australia, spending a bit longer in some places than others. When we finish the nomadic life we will search for a place to build our dream home and sell our home in Colac.
Oopsie, I forgot to put some photos on from our stay in Exmouth.
This is the shipwreck of the SS Mildura, a cattle ship that went down a long time ago (don't ask me when, I can't remember!)

This is the Charle's Knife Canyon (although Stevo tells me we don't have canyons, it must be a gorge) Anyway whatever it was actually called, it was amazing! You can see the road at the bottom where you can drive thru', but the poor kids had seen enough "rocks" by the time we got to the top that we didn't go down there. The view was beautiful.
As soon as we got close to Exmouth we had to keep our eyes peeled for emus, there were stacks and they wandered across the main road all the time. As far as wildlife goes we also saw lots of wild goats and squillions of turtles and the occasional splash of a whale out at sea.
